ALPINE FIS PROGRAM

Ages 16-21

Loveland Ski Club's (LSC's) FIS Program is for High School (HS) and Post-High School Graduate (PG) athletes (ages 16-21) with extensive ski racing experience. All of LSC's FIS athletes compete in FIS Races at the Regional and/or National Levels. LSC's FIS Program is uniquely designed to meet the individual needs of athletes with a wide range of abilities and levels of commitment to the sport of ski racing. LSC's current FIS TEAM includes athletes on track to race NCAA Division I and/or for National Teams. LSC's current FIS TEAM also includes athletes who plan to race USCSA at a college that meets their educational needs and desires outside of ski racing.

LSC's FIS Coaches Rob Burke and Booka Smith (also LSC's Head Programs Director) [click to view bios], are both L300 USST Certified Ski Race Coaches and USST Certified Coach Developers with extensive coaching experiences and successes across all ability levels. LSC's FIS Coaches work with each LSC FIS TEAM Member individually to set personal race, training, and travel schedules tailored to their specific desires and needs.

In addition to focusing on each FIS TEAM Member's individual needs, LSC's FIS Program is heavily focused on creating a tight-knit, team
oriented environment, where all LSC FIS TEAM Members spend time together supporting each others efforts and celebrating individual and TEAM accomplishments. LSC's FIS Program offers team-building travel opportunities which often include college campus visits.

LSC currently offers three distinct FIS Programs: Full-Time Post Graduate, Full-Time High School, and Part-Time. LSC's Full-Time
athletes (both HS and PG) train year round, both on and off-snow. LSC's Full-Time 2023-2024 Season begins on May 15, 2023, with Spring Lane Training at Loveland Basin. LSC's Part-Time Programs are available in quarterly blocks: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

In keeping with LSC's mission to give each FIS TEAM Member individual focus, LSC offers personalized training packages to fit each athlete's needs. LSC strives to keep its base tuition pricing for FIS commensurate and competitive with other Colorado FIS Programs.
